Another beautiful day, so we skipped the Conwy castle tour & wandered its beautiful Victorian village and the Conwy River shoreline and environs. If your bucket list has you walking castle walls, choose these for the wonderful views. We walked in York too, but this was so much prettier.

Hint: If you are searching for easy to carry wool gifts, this is the time to make your move. Head down to the suspension bridge & National Trust gift store for a great selection and the best prices you will find on your trip. We bought scarves for 1/3 of the price in London's pricier shops! All wool, nice and long and choice of Stewart, Gordon, Buchanan, and more. Found just the one my son wanted!
Most of us broke into small groups and headed to dinner at Alfredo's. No separate checks here, but mention Rick Steves tour and you will be able to pay as if you had. Note: Ordering on one check enables the chef to be certain that all the meals arrive at the same time for your table. We shared a table for 8 with our new friends. But in some towns, you need reservations for a large crowd. |
