- Began Day 4 with a coach ride to Lacock. Here we witnessed the Wiltshire WWI traveling educational exhibit.
- Observe "crux" frame construction of cottages often used for film shoots. Think "Harry Potter".
- Learned about the destruction of abbeys and the removal of the art, paint, and other adornments.
- Were awestruck as our extra-high coach allowed us to see two white chalk horses carved by Christoper Alsop in the Avebury environs.
- Arrive Avebury, with its one street town. Stone build estimated to be 1.5 million man-hours. Whaaaat?
- Walk the earliest religious sites -- home both to pagan & the oldest RC church. See an early Anglo-Saxon chapel.
